Democracy Isn't Dead Yet
President Donald Trump is set to visit northwest Georgia on Thursday ahead of a crowded election for Georgia’s 14th District.
Trump is expected to promote his economic agenda while also “testing his clout” in Georgia ahead of the midterm elections, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Trump will speak in Rome on Thursday and possibly visit a local business, according to WSB-TV.
Trump endorsed Clay Fuller last week for the seat in District 14, which will replace former U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.
“This is the honor of a lifetime. I will not let you or Georgia’s 14th District down,” Fuller said in a social media post.
More than 20 candidates have thrown their hat in the ring for the race, 18 of which spoke at a forum on Sunday to appeal to voters ahead of early voting.
