Ron Roberts, a native of Grovetown, Georgia (near Augusta), is a 28-year radio veteran who has built a remarkable career across the state. As an experienced FM radio program director with skills in broadcasting, audio editing, voice acting, and commercial production, Ron has demonstrated excellence throughout Georgia’s radio landscape. Today, he channels that expertise into The Ron Show, which airs weekdays 9-10am on AmericaOne Radio and is available on demand at ProgressiveVoices.com. The show has been on the air for over three years, establishing itself as Atlanta’s only progressive audio platform.
Ron covers Atlanta, metro Atlanta, Georgia, and national politics from a refreshingly unique lens—as he puts it, he’s just your “run-of-the-mill Georgia-born gay cat-dad liberal realtor & talk show host”. His authenticity and deep Georgia roots bring a local perspective to progressive politics that resonates with listeners. The show regularly features an impressive roster of guests, from local activists to prominent national figures including Marianne Williamson, Representatives Nikema Williams and Rua Romman, Senators Shea Roberts and Elena Parent, Rep. Dr. Michelle Au, actor Michael Kelly, and Georgia WIN List director Melita Easters. Ron is also the owner of THIS IS GAY Media LLC and continues his work as a licensed realtor with eXp Realty in Atlanta, bringing real-world perspective to the conversations that matter most to Georgians.
Face the Nation is a weekly news and morning public affairs program airing Sundays on CBS that has been one of the longest-running news programs in the history of television since its creation by Frank Stanton in 1954. The program features compelling interviews with newsmakers, thoughtful roundtable discussions, and sharp analysis on the top issues of the day, with moderator Margaret Brennan coming face to face with the most influential policymakers, politicians, newsmakers, and experts to dig deep into politics, current events, and the latest headlines. Margaret Brennan became moderator in February 2018 and quickly became known for her tough but fair questioning of world leaders, politicians, and policymakers, bringing to her coverage of domestic politics a background in national security and financial news. As the second woman to host the venerable CBS News broadcast, Brennan has continued Face the Nation's legacy as America's premier Sunday morning public affairs program and helped propel it to become the most watched in its category for five consecutive years, beginning with the 2021-2022 television season.
