Eye on Veterans from CBS News Radio helps stations across the country honor the veterans and returning heroes of their communities. Each daily one-minute news update provides military veterans and their families with information that impacts their lives, including financial assistance, benefits, and other issues affecting our heroes and their families. The program also features Eye on Veterans Weekend, a two-hour magazine-format show with lively and in-depth discussion about issues affecting the veteran community, highlighting news, resources, and cultural issues important to men and women transitioning back to civilian life after military service. Produced by ConnectingVets.com in partnership with CBS News Radio and broadcast on stations coast-to-coast, the show also introduces veterans making a difference in their communities.
Hosted by Navy veteran and journalist Phil Briggs, who brings more than 20 years of broadcasting experience to the show, Eye on Veterans looks at life from the military veteran’s perspective. From topics like treating PTSD and TBIs with marijuana and psychedelics to pushing Congress to pass better laws, each episode features dramatic stories from combat vets, discovers job openings for transitioning service members, and meets celebrity actors, athletes, and musicians who support the veteran community. Briggs is a graduate of the Defense Information School and served aboard the aircraft carrier USS John C Stennis CVN-74 as a plankowner, where he was editor of The Statesman, the ship’s daily newspaper, producing compelling stories from below deck to the flight deck. The show highlights veterans finding success as business owners and industry leaders while examining the challenges facing those who have served, reminding the veteran community that none of them is going through the transition alone.

Face the Nation is a weekly news and morning public affairs program airing Sundays on CBS that has been one of the longest-running news programs in the history of television since its creation by Frank Stanton in 1954. The program features compelling interviews with newsmakers, thoughtful roundtable discussions, and sharp analysis on the top issues of the day, with moderator Margaret Brennan coming face to face with the most influential policymakers, politicians, newsmakers, and experts to dig deep into politics, current events, and the latest headlines. Margaret Brennan became moderator in February 2018 and quickly became known for her tough but fair questioning of world leaders, politicians, and policymakers, bringing to her coverage of domestic politics a background in national security and financial news. As the second woman to host the venerable CBS News broadcast, Brennan has continued Face the Nation's legacy as America's premier Sunday morning public affairs program and helped propel it to become the most watched in its category for five consecutive years, beginning with the 2021-2022 television season.
