Uncommon Sense
Alabama-based freelance journalist Alex Jobin joined The Ron Show to highlight a Montgomery hospital being indebted to Rick Jackson's company via a high-interest loan.
Freelance journalist Alex Jobin joined me today to discuss his piece chronicling a struggling Montgomery, Alabama hospital and its biggest creditor – Jackson Healthcare – ready to profit off its bankruptcy at the expense of local and state taxpayers. Like Georgia, Alabama refuses to expand Medicaid through the Affordable Care Act and hospitals throughout that state or scaling back services or shuttering altogether.
Fear not, though, Rick Jackson’s company profits through it all, meaning – he and his company can prey on the healthcare industry when healthcare access to the poor and working poor is limited.
