Kamala’s visit with Ossoff: who’s feelin’ who out for 2028?

todayNovember 2, 2026

Background

Former Vice President (and 2024 Democratic presidential candidate) Kamala Harris made two Georgia stops Thursday – on behalf of Senator Jon Ossoff and in support of former Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and the rest of the party ticket.

It’s hard not to imagine her making another go at the Oval Office in 2028, but it got me to wondering if she’s eyeing Ossoff for a potential VP nod. I mean, there’ve been a number of high-profile, potential 2028 contender types stumping in the state in recent months so are they feeling him out or might he be the one doing the tire-kicking?

Meanwhile, Georgia early voting numbers are shattering prior midterm records, but what do they tell us? Georgia Recorder’s Ross Williams gave us the data; I offer up the hypotheses.
