The Politics Bar After Hours - A Better Future
Gov. Brian Kemp announced Dec. 23 four new judicial appointments across Georgia, including in the Cook County area, Bryan County and Fulton County, according to a news release.
Bennett, partner at the law firm of Bennett & Connell, LLC, serves as the Solicitor for the Probate Courts of Cook, Lanier and Atkinson counties and the Municipal Courts of Nashville, Ray City and Homerville.
Bennett, of Cook County, also serves on the Board of Directors of the Adel-Cook County Chamber of Commerce, according to the release.
Montgomery, a partner with the law firm of Scheer, Montgomery & Call, P.C., serves as the Solicitor-General of Bryan County and prosecutes misdemeanor criminal cases.
Montgomery served as a police officer prior to his legal career and has provided pro bono representation of law-enforcement officers, according to the release.
Smith serves as the Deputy City Attorney for the City of Atlanta, and he has worked as a staff attorney to the Honorable T. Jackson Bedford, Jr., and Assistant District Attorney in the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office.
Before his current position, he worked as an Attorney-Advisor with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to practice employment litigation, according to the release.
Wolf serves as a Fulton County Magistrate Court judge and previously served as a prosecutor in the Cobb County Solicitor-General’s Office, Fulton County District Attorney’s Office and Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office.
Wolf has served in several positions, including president of the Georgia Council of Magistrate Court Judges and a member of the Judicial Council of Georgia. He is also a delegate of the State Bar of Georgia Board of Governors for the Atlanta Circuit, according to the release.
