It’s Labor Day weekend and the world’s busiest airport for passengers is expecting a surge of travelers.
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport expects around 2.3 million travelers to pass through Atlanta from Sep. 2 through Sep. 9. If that happens, officials say that would be a 1% increase from last year’s holiday travel.
Friday, Sep. 4 is expected to be the busiest day with more than 335,000 passengers passing through the airport.
Airport officials say domestic passengers should arrive at least two hours before departure while international travelers should arrive at least three hours early.
Passengers should allow additional time for parking, drop-offs and pickups.
The airport’s website has live parking availability and security checkpoint wait times.
