Eye on Travel with Peter Greenberg is a three-hour nationally syndicated weekend radio program, now in its 20th season, that broadcasts from a different remote location each week—ranging from major cities to hidden destinations around the globe. The show features guests who are insiders in the travel industry, as well as local figures, journalists reporting breaking news and trends, CEOs, and heads of state, offering listeners an insider’s perspective on the world’s largest industry. Broadcasting Saturdays at 10 a.m. ET and available as a podcast through CBS Audio and on digital platforms including the CBS News Radio app, Amazon’s Alexa, and TuneIn, the show provides travel tips, the latest news, must-have information, and hidden gem destinations not found in traditional guidebooks. Eye on Travel also includes a daily feature—the Eye on Travel Minute—airing Monday through Friday on radio stations across America with travel tips and breaking news.

Host Peter Greenberg, known in the travel industry as “The Travel Detective,” is a multiple Emmy Award-winning investigative reporter and producer who serves as Travel Editor for CBS News. Every year, Greenberg racks up 450,000 airline miles and logs six intense training sessions in an aircraft simulator to be an authoritative voice for audiences, demonstrating his commitment to being the consummate insider on reporting the travel business as news. He began his career as West Coast correspondent for Newsweek and went on to serve as travel correspondent for ABC’s Good Morning America from 1988 to 1995 and travel editor for NBC’s Today, CNBC, and MSNBC from 1995 until 2009. Travel Weekly named him one of the most influential people in travel alongside Bill Marriott and Richard Branson, and he was inducted into the U.S. Travel Association’s Hall of Leaders—the single highest honor for an individual in the travel and tourism industry. Among his other honors, Greenberg received a News & Documentary Emmy Award as part of the NBC News Dateline team for outstanding coverage of “Miracle on the Hudson”. He is also the author of the New York Times best-selling “Travel Detective” series, including “The Best Places for Everything,” “Don’t Go There!,” and “The Complete Travel Detective Bible”.
