Fox 5 reports that Colt Gray made his first court appearance Sept. 6, 2024, with a packed courtroom of relatives and friends of the victims.
Colt Gray had another status hearing in May to discuss whether attorneys plan to go to trial or if the defendant was considering a plea deal, according to CNN.
Aspinwall’s family told Fox 5 at the hearing that they want to see Colt Gray sentenced to life in prison without parole.
“If we don’t set an example, it’s going to continue on,” Richard Aspinwall Sr. said. “If we try to set an example—they’re not going to get away with it—maybe it’ll make other people think twice about trying to pull something.”
